My numbers were good today! Both my WBCs (white blood cells) and neutrophils were in the normal range, which surprised me greatly since I’ve been fighting a pesky cold. We are staying the course with my current treatment. Even though my latest PET scan had mixed results, with one tumor growing slightly but the others remaining the same and no new areas of concern, there’s not enough of a change to warrant shaking things up now. If my next scan shows more progression, we can a) check into clinical trials, b) try another new drug with a long name I forget, which has its own set of lovely side effects, or c) return to my original treatment hoping the cancer forgot about it. So we have options. Which is good, because I’m busy! Aslan is on the move 🦁
Busy lady! Glad to hear your numbers are good!! If you go the clinicals route, would you go through Mayo Clinic?
Hi, Lis! We haven’t gotten that far in the conversation yet. There may very well be some trials at Mayo, but there could also be trials locally. We will pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as we proceed.
